NAATI-certified Dari-to-English and English-to-Dari translation for Australia
Order NAATI-certified Dari-to-English or English-to-Dari document translations for Tazkira, passports, civil certificates, driver licences, legal statements, medical records and other official purposes.
Dari-to-English and English-to-Dari document translation are both available. Customers commonly need an English version of Afghan identity, immigration, legal, medical or civil documents for use in Australia, or an English document translated into Dari.
Dari and Persian (Farsi) are closely related varieties of Persian, but terminology, usage and practitioner credentials can differ. ATIS treats Dari and Persian as separate service selections and confirms the exact language variety and translation direction when quoting. Dari is also distinct from Pashto, Arabic and Urdu. See Pashto translation services. Hazaragi should be named separately so the language variety and practitioner suitability can be confirmed; it is not automatically assigned to Dari. See Hazaragi translation services.
These documents are commonly translated when an Australian organisation requires an English version. The receiving body’s current checklist, certification and document-format requirements should be confirmed before ordering.
This page uses Tazkira as the principal spelling. Taskira is a spelling variant customers may use when searching or describing the same Afghan national identity documentation.
Tazkira documents can vary in age, layout, handwriting and legibility. Electronic and paper identity documents may differ. DFAT country information describes the Tazkira as Afghan national identity documentation; individual documents do not all share the same format or fields. A Tazkira is not a birth certificate.
A photograph or incomplete copy is not guaranteed to be accepted by Home Affairs or another authority. Send the clearest complete copy available for assessment.

ATIS can assess Dari-to-English translation of documents commonly used for visa applications, citizenship matters, family and partner applications, identity and relationship evidence, employment evidence, skills and qualification evidence, Home Affairs correspondence, supporting statements and requests for further information.
Current Home Affairs skilled-visa guidance states that non-English documents must be translated into English; that translations completed in Australia should include the translator’s NAATI practitioner number; and that when a requested document cannot be provided, the applicant should explain why in the application. See the official guidance at immi.homeaffairs.gov.au.
Not every visa category uses an identical checklist. Original-language documents may also need to be supplied. Whether a particular certification applies to your Dari assignment is confirmed when you request a quote. This page does not provide migration advice, does not describe ATIS as a migration agent, and does not guarantee a visa or citizenship result. Customers who need immigration advice should consult an authorised adviser.
Immigration document translationATIS can translate Dari letters, notices, statements and supporting records for customers who need an accurate English version for a lawyer, migration professional or receiving authority. This may include documents described by customers as Taliban threat letters. The translation records the source text; it does not authenticate the document, determine who issued it or assess a protection claim.
Sensitive documents are handled confidentially. Translation does not prove a claim, assess authenticity or replace legal or migration advice. ATIS does not prepare evidence, write the customer’s account, or guarantee tribunal, court, Home Affairs or protection outcomes.
ATIS may translate an existing affidavit, statutory declaration, personal statement, witness statement, declaration, supporting letter or legal correspondence.
We translate the document supplied to us. Translation does not witness the signature, certify that the underlying statement is true or replace legal advice. ATIS does not draft affidavits, prepare statutory declarations, supply legal evidence or advise what a person should say.
Legal document translationAfghan driver licences and driving licences can be assessed for Dari-to-English translation, including paper or card formats, identity details, licence classes, issue and expiry details, and stamps or endorsements where they are legible.
State and territory requirements differ. Confirm the current translation, certification and document-format requirements with your state or territory licensing authority before ordering. One translation format is not guaranteed to be accepted by every Australian licensing authority.
Driver licence translationWritten Dari-to-English translation can be assessed for vaccination certificates, immunisation records, polio vaccination evidence, medical reports, hospital records, prescriptions where appropriate, disability and treatment records, and medical correspondence.
A translation must accurately represent the supplied record without changing dates, vaccine names, doses or medical terminology. ATIS does not give medical advice, interpret clinical meaning beyond the source, or promise acceptance by Home Affairs, Medicare, a hospital, school or employer.
Medical translation servicesSchool certificates, university transcripts, diplomas, degrees, training certificates, employment contracts, reference and experience letters, payslips, service records, professional registration documents and skills-assessment evidence can be assessed for translation. A translation does not guarantee admission, employment, registration or a successful skills assessment.
Send the clearest copy available for assessment. If part of a document cannot be read, the translator may query it or mark the relevant text as illegible rather than guessing.
ATIS does not reconstruct missing information, translate a document that is missing altogether, or prepare a replacement statutory declaration. If the receiving body requires an original or certified copy, the customer must follow that requirement.
Send every relevant page through Get a Quote. Clear scans or photographs may be sufficient for quoting; the receiving authority may still require originals or certified copies.

Certified written Dari translation is the current service on this page. ATIS is developing Dari interpreting as a future product line. Customers may enquire about anticipated interpreting needs, but Dari interpreter availability, delivery mode, credentials, location and appointment time must be confirmed before any booking.
This enquiry does not book telephone, video, in-person or on-site interpreting, and it does not confirm a credential, location or appointment. This is not TIS National or a government interpreting service.
