Macedonian-to-English and English-to-Macedonian translation

ATIS has NAATI Certified Macedonian translators on its panel and can engage a suitable practitioner when required. The applicable certified language direction and document-format requirements are confirmed for each assignment. Macedonian translation availability and the certification required for your document will be confirmed when you request a quote.

Macedonian-to-English

ATIS can arrange a suitable NAATI Certified Macedonian translator for documents issued in North Macedonia, or elsewhere in Macedonian, that need an English translation for Australian use. Each assignment confirms the translator’s applicable certified direction; the receiving authority’s current requirements; the required stamp, certification statement or digital format; and whether an original, certified copy or electronic version is required.

English-to-Macedonian

English-to-Macedonian translation can be arranged for Australian and other English-language documents intended for Macedonian-speaking recipients or presentation in North Macedonia. Australian NAATI certification does not automatically satisfy every legal, apostille, notarisation or consular requirement in North Macedonia. Requirements depend on the receiving organisation and intended use.

We welcome quote enquiries from individuals, family members, solicitors, aged-care providers and other organisations. Macedonian is a distinct language. It is not interchangeable with Bulgarian or Serbian.

Written translation can be arranged for estate, family and solicitor files. A court, registry, lawyer or receiving body may require an affidavit, certified copy, original document or a particular translator credential. Probate and evidentiary requirements differ between Australian jurisdictions.

  • Wills and codicils
  • Probate applications
  • Grants of probate
  • Letters of administration
  • Estate correspondence
  • Death certificates
  • Powers of attorney
  • Enduring powers of attorney
  • Guardianship documents
  • Advance-care documents
  • Statutory declarations and affidavits
  • Court orders and family-law documents
  • Property and inheritance records
  • Solicitor correspondence
  • Supporting identity and relationship documents

Translation does not determine whether a will is valid, does not re-execute a will, and does not establish the legal effect of a power of attorney. ATIS does not give legal advice. Confirm filing and evidence requirements with your solicitor, court or registry before ordering.

Written document translation is separate from legal interpreting at a conference, hearing or signing appointment.

Macedonian Documents Commonly Translated into English

Civil, identity and police records remain a core part of Macedonian document translation. Upload every page, including stamps and reverse sides.

Academic, Qualification and Employment Documents

Requirements depend on the university, employer, registration body or assessing authority. A translation does not guarantee admission, recognition, registration or a successful skills assessment.

Immigration and Home Affairs documents

ATIS can arrange a suitable NAATI Certified Macedonian translator for documents commonly used in Australian immigration and citizenship processes. Typical supporting papers include birth and marriage certificates, divorce and name-change documents, passports and identity records, police certificates, family and relationship documents, academic qualifications, employment references, bank statements, payslips, skills-assessment documents and citizenship or residence records.

Current Home Affairs skilled-visa guidance states that non-English documents must be translated into English; that translations completed in Australia should include the translator’s NAATI practitioner number; and that translations completed outside Australia should include the translator’s name, address, telephone number and qualifications. See the official guidance at immi.homeaffairs.gov.au.

Not every visa category uses an identical checklist. Original-language documents may also need to be supplied. Confirm the current instructions for your particular application. This page does not provide migration advice, does not guarantee acceptance or a visa outcome, and does not imply affiliation with Home Affairs or NAATI.

Medical and aged-care documents

Written Macedonian or English translation can be assessed for medical reports, specialist letters, hospital discharge summaries, medication records, vaccination records, aged-care admission documents, care plans, service agreements, consent forms, guardianship records, advance-care documents and health-insurance correspondence.

Not every clinical or aged-care document should be translated privately. A translated document does not replace informed-consent procedures, a qualified interpreter or advice from the treating professional. ATIS does not give medical advice.

Spoken interpreting enquiries

Australian Translation & Interpretation Services (ATIS®) accepts interpreting enquiries as a separate service from written document translation. Macedonian interpreter availability, delivery mode and any interpreter credential must be confirmed for the specific appointment. Do not infer that a written-translation booking includes an interpreter.

Tell us the appointment date, location or delivery mode, expected duration and subject area. We will confirm whether a suitable Macedonian interpreter is available. This is not a government-funded service and is not TIS National or the Automated Telephone Interpreting Service used in some aged-care guidance.

English Documents Commonly Translated into Macedonian

English-to-Macedonian translation is separate from obtaining an apostille, DFAT authentication, certifying a copy, notarising a signature, consular services, or satisfying the receiving authority’s filing requirements.

Requirements depend on the document, issuing country and receiving authority. Confirm whether an apostille, authentication, certified copy, notarisation or another step is required before ordering the translation. Not every Australian document requires an apostille. Translation alone does not make a document valid in North Macedonia. NAATI certification does not automatically satisfy requirements in North Macedonia. ATIS does not provide apostilles, notarisation or consular certification.

Current DFAT legalisation guidance is published at smartraveller.gov.au.

Macedonian Cyrillic and personal names

Standard Macedonian uses the Cyrillic alphabet. Where consistent Latin-script spelling matters, supply a passport or another authoritative record. Cover previous names, spelling differences across documents, dates, document numbers, and names of institutions and locations.

A translator should not silently alter an official spelling and cannot resolve a legal identity discrepancy. Confirm inconsistent names with the receiving authority. Do not treat Macedonian as interchangeable with Bulgarian or Serbian.

How to request a Macedonian translation

  1. 1 Upload a clear scan

Send every relevant page through Get a Quote. Clear scans may be sufficient for quoting; the receiving authority may still require originals or certified copies.

  2. 2 State the direction and use

State Macedonian to English or English to Macedonian, the document type, intended receiving organisation and country, required certification format, deadline, and digital or hard-copy needs.

  3. 3 Receive a confirmed quote

We review the document and provide a confirmed quote and timeframe before translation begins. The quote is not generated instantly.

  4. 4 Translation and delivery

A suitable translator completes the work. Delivery uses the options confirmed in the quote. Submitting the form does not confirm availability or price.

Pricing

Pricing depends on the language direction, document type, length, formatting, certification requirements and requested timeframe. Upload the document for a confirmed quote.

Urgent service may be available depending on the document, language direction, certification requirements and translator availability.
